Parents' Example.
A manicurist told an inquisitive reporter in a large city that modern youth was "not so terribly wicked," and that if the dads of the younger generation "behaved as well as their sons, this would be a pretty nice world to live in." She complained that most of the flirtations attempted were by men between 40 and 45 years of age.
This might be a good thought for the fathers of the present generation to carry home for study. If all the sins charged up against modern youth are true, how much of it is due to the example set by their parents?
Mothers as well as fathers come in equally for the blame that may be attached to modern parenthood for the model provided for the youngsters who try to ape their elders.
Parents are seldom able to slip anything past the clever youngster of today. They may believe that on the sly they are doing small things which escape their children, but they are badly mistaken, for the boy and girl of today is far wiser in the ways of the world than the youth of a generation ago.
