OHIO FOR SOUND MONEY.

The Democratic State convention of Ohio, which met at Springfield, last week, nominated by acclamation Ex-Governor James E. Campbell as its standard bearer and a full State ticket, reaffirmed the financial plank of the Chicago platform and endorsed the administration of President Cleveland. The free silver plank submitted by the committee on resolutions was defeated by the decisive vote of 525 to 270. But, of course, the free silver journals of the country will attribute this "Waterloo" to participation in the proceedings of Federal office holders and Cal Hill's "barrel" of money.
