CANDIDATE FOR COMMISSIONER.

Mr. Snyder having declined the nomination for Commissioner, for the reason that he did not consider he had a sufficient English education to discharge the duties of the office, the Democratic Central Committee met last Friday, and after a brief consultation nominated Hiram A. Rank, of Polk township, to fill the vacancy.

Mr. Rank possesses all the requisite qualifications, together with a good share of experience, having held the office several years to the satisfaction of the people. He has the will and the judgment to do what is right. The interests of the county will not suffer by any act of his. The Committee hope and believe the nomination will be ratified at the polls.
