BAGGED 50 CHICKENS.

Two Topeka Men Find Much Game Near Ellis.

O. E. Hungate and Lee Jones returned today from Ellis, where they spent two days in company with Beecher Bell and Edward Overstreet, of Ellis, hunting prairie chickens. They report an entirely successful trip, and in support of their statements exhibit 52 prairie chickens they bagged during the two days they were gone. Though the hot winds scorched their faces and the sun burned their noses until they resemble beets, it was all forgotten in the pursuit of the game.

Mr. Hungate said: "I was really surprised to find such excellent shooting. I do not think I exaggerate when I say that in one Kafir corn field there were 1,000 chickens. They laid well for the dogs, and we are very well satisfied with the result."
