News Photographer Russ Shinevar was present Tuesday when Mrs. E. J. Blade, developer of Catawba Orchard Beach, signed the deed whereby she granted nearly three acres of her property to the Catawba Orchard Beach Association. Included in the grant was the spacious lagoon and boat basin, shown in the top photo taken by Louis Warner, parks and playground and the beach. In the lower photo, left to right, are Mr. Warner (standing), Atty. John Reinheimer and Mrs. Blade, (seated), and Mrs. Nellie Dunham, a trustee of the corporation.
