The Hon. George C. Peery and Dr. Huston St. Clair, of Tazewell, have been notified by President Francis P. Gaines of Washington and Lee University, of their appointment as regional co-chairmen of the University's bicentennial program in the Bluefield area.

This campaign will reach its climax in a series of local drives in every part of the country this fall.

Mr. Peery and Dr. St. Clair, assisted by a committee of Washington and Lee alumni in Bluefield, Tazewell, Princeton and Welch, will be in charge of the financial program in this area, and a national network of such committees will promote the celebration.
