We learn from St. Kitts, that a flag of truce was arrived at Guadaloupe from Martinico, with 50 prisoners, among whom was Capt. Fanning, who was taken in a sloop from New London, bound to Barbadoes.

That there had been a hard gale of wind at Martinico about the middle of November, which drove ashore above 20 sail of vessels; and that in the same gale a number of vessels were drove ashore at St. Kitts. That there was an embargo at Martinico on all the privateers being 80 sail, and that they were in daily expectation of a visit from the English.
