The grand Jury of the city and county of New York, now in session, have found a bill of indictment against the Vice President of the United States for sending a challenge to Gen. Hamilton, inviting him to be killed in a duel: and against William P. Van Ness and Nathaniel Pendleton, for acting as seconds. Should this indictment be confirmed by the competent authority, the parties will be disqualified for the term of 20 years, pursuant to a law passed by the legislature of this state at the last session.
