Five More Holsteins Listed in Test Record
C. I. Spaulding has five of his pure-bred registered Holsteins listed in the "Reported Tests of Holstein-Friesian Cows," which is published by Malcolm H. Gardner, Delavan, Wis.
His best cow, Canary Homestead Alice, is reported as having made at the age of five years and eleven months, a record of 516.2 lbs. of milk and 24.573 lbs. of butter fat, in seven days, equivalent to 30.7 lbs. of butter.
His next cow, Johanna Deone 5th, at the age of five years, is credited with 537.8 lbs. of milk and 21.230 lbs. of butter fat, in seven days, equivalent to 26.5 lbs. of butter.
Goldie De Kol Kappijne, made a record in seven days at the age of four years and one month, of 430.0 lbs. of milk and 19.545 lbs. of butter fat, equivalent to 24.4 lbs. of butter.
Alice Tritomia Ormsby Mercedes is reported as having produced at the age of three years and two months, 396.9 lbs. of milk and 19.522 lbs. of butter fat, in seven days, equivalent to 24.4 lbs. of butter.
