OVERSEER LEE
December 8, 1948
Dear Overseer Mintern:
Peace to Thee!
I arrived here in Kingston about noon today from San Juan, Puerto Rico. The trip from Trinidad was very interesting--the weather was clear and we were able to see a great deal of island scenery.
Elder Walker contacted me at the hotel shortly after I arrived and he has a full program of meetings is laid out through Lord's Day, December 12th. On Lord's Day there will be a meeting of all the officers at the home church at Brownsville. At the time of this writing I plan to be back here in Kingston late Monday afternoon, God willing.
Also, God willing, I will leave Kingston for Miami, Wednesday morning, and I will probably get a call through to you in time for the meeting Wednesday evening.
God has been very good and His guidance and help have been very apparent throughout the entire trip up to now and by His continued help I know this phase of the journey will be the same way. I am very grateful too for the many prayers which have been offered for the success of the trip. I'm sure I'll be able to give an interesting report at the Watch-Night Service.
Greet the staff, please.
Faithfully,
Carl Lee.
