The Progress is glad to note that the concert given for the benefit of Miss Maude Bacon Thursday night was a success in every particular. The attendance was satisfactory, while the program was all that could be desired. It is pleasing to know that her talent is appreciated and deeds of public service remembered in an agreeable way.
Miss Maude certainly deserved this appreciation shown her personally, and as an artist, and even more. Not only was her vocal talent highly appreciated and complimented, but her elocutionary powers were warmly praised by those who are critics.
