The accused "Hootch Runner" charged with bringing to Dayton untaxed liquor and the illegal sale of same was none other than one Moses Bryant, 25 of 967 Ruth avenue, who gave his occupation as that of a building contractor and with plenty of building material consisting of building stones, lumber and other material from where the "Juice from the Hills" was hidden and where the officers were led to find more than five gallons of the "booze".
According to the Vice squad, the demand for the out-of-state "grog" brought the price of $2 per pint and that is what the sale to the liquor agent was paid.
