Enroute to Mexico to board a ship from either Vera Cruz or Tampico for England, where he will join the British Royal Air Corps to serve in the new war, Albert Wood of Minneapolis, Minn., was here Saturday.

Wood served in the World War, first with the Canadians, then the French and later with the Americans. He was one of the most famous of all flying aces.

He is well known to a number of Nogalians, including Frank J. Duffy, Hugo W. Miller, and Harold J. Brown, through frequent trips to Nogales as a civil engineer.

Wood enlisted on March 8, 1915 and was discharged March 8, 1919 after serving on all fronts, including the Dardanelles and Russia. A member of his company, Roy Brown of Ottawa, Canada, was the aviator who brought down Germany's most famous flying ace, Richtofen, in 1916.
