Kodiak will be one of the spots in Alaska visited for material to be used in a new Walt Disney film, tentatively entitled "Alaska" it was learned here this week.
Preparing the groundwork for the feature are Alfred and Elma Milotte, former owners of Milotte Studios in Ketchikan, now employed by Disney Productions, Inc. who are taking thousands of feet of film and gathering countless pages of typewritten information for the planned production.
The survey has started in Ketchikan, with pictures of every street, all points of interest and aerial views of the town.
The Milottes will go by boat to Sitka, fly to Juneau, and then visit Anchorage, Nome, Fairbanks and Kodiak. Two years will be needed for assembling the material and actual production of the film.
