For The Argus--

Mr. Stevenson having withdrawn himself as a candidate for Congress, in consequence of Mr. Clopton's declaring his willingness to continue to serve the district,--Mr. S. will be again brought forward as the Representative for the City in the next General Assembly. This gentleman's faithful services in the Legislature for the two last years are not forgotten by the citizens; and it is confidently believed that there will be no opposition to his re-election.
