Full Text

Genoa, April 20. The Master of a French Ship, lately arrived from the Coast of Provence, reports, that on the 12th Instant, Orders were received at Toulon, from the Court of France, for the Triton, a Man of War of 64 Guns, and the Gracieuse Frigate of 24 Guns, to put to Sea as soon as possible, but that the Place of their Destination was not known, their Orders not being to be opened 'til they come into a certain Latitude. Other Advices from Toulon import that a Man of War of 80 Guns has been lately launched there, and that there are now upon the Stocks two Men of War of 74 Guns, two of 64, a Frigate of 36 Guns, and two Xebecks of 18 and 20 Guns. Great Quantities of Wood, proper for building Ships continually arrive at Toulon, from whence it is judged, that very considerable Augmentations are intended to be made in the Marine.
