OSLO, Norway, March 2.—P—A wave of anti-Soviet sentiment swept Scandinavia today as resentment mounted against the Communist coup in Czechoslovakia and Russian pressure in Finland.
In Norway, Denmark and Sweden the feeling manifested itself in mass demonstrations and press attacks against the spread of Communism over Europe.
In Oslo, thousands of students demonstrated last night outside the Czechoslovak legation. Later they marched to the "People's House" where a Communist youth organization was celebrating the Czech coup.
"Down with Communism," the demonstrators shouted.
Political leaders said anti-Communist feeling was running higher in Norway than at any time since the end of the war.
In Denmark—pro-Russian after liberation from the Nazis—the Soviet demand on Finland was denounced in the press.
