Full Text

A letter from Paris, dated the 23d of May, written by a well informed person there, to his friend in this city, says, that Citizen DUPONT, at present Consul of the French Republic at Charleston, (S. C.) is to replace Citizen LETOMBE. Consul General at Philadelphia: and that the brother of Gen. SCHERER is to replace Citizen Dupont at Charleston. Citizen L'Etombe is to remain in the United States as Charge d'Affairs only.
