By Letters and Papers brought by the Packet from England, we are sufficiently assured that " the British Lion is at length roused"..-that our most amiable Sovereign, ever secure in the Affections of his People, is daily receiving Offers of Troops from every Part of the Empire. The most spirited Emulation prevails among all Ranks of People, a few disappointed, disinterested Patriots excepted. : General Burgoyne's Misfortune has operated most happily upon national Pride. o that it needed not the late Instance of canting Treachery to procure an ungrateful People, that Punishment which the Generosity of Britons would gladly have withheld.
