New England Magazine.--The Messrs. Buckinghams, of Boston, published on the 1st inst. the first number of a Magazine, entitled "New England Magazine," to be continued monthly. The plan of the work is explained in an article in the Boston Courier, which shews it to be upon a new plan. The publishers offer to pay for accepted contributions, and they have the promise of the assistance of some of the best writers in the country.
Not having seen the Magazine, we cannot speak of its merits, but the reputation of the Editors, and their contributors, give guarantee that it will be conducted with spirit and ability.
