HANGING OF G. W. PEMBERTON.

Boston, Mass., Oct. 8.—George W. Pemberton was hanged this morning in the Charles street jail, for the murder of Mr. Mangare, Brighton, Jan. 22d. He was little affected and walked to the scaffold indifferent. His death was instantaneous and caused by the congestion of the brain, or the shock of the fall. At 10:25 the doors were opened and the execution was over, the whole thing having taken exactly one hour. The body was given to his wife, and this afternoon it will be buried privately.
