MILWAUKEE HAS STRIKE TROUBLE
Milwaukee, Wis., July 18.-Twelve hundred machinists employed at plants of the Allis Chalmers company and three hundred in the Pawling and Harnishfeger works left their benches at 10 o'clock this morning and walked out on strike as the culmination of the trouble between Employers and Employes associations. The men are asking for 48 hours a week in place of 52 1/2 now working. The strike is expected to affect a number of other plants in the city and may result in the calling out of nearly 6,000 men.
