Full Text

Redacteurs, Amis des Loix, Courriers and Postilions, having been successively suppressed, (not indeed by unjust, enormous and unprecedented fines, but by a less oppressive methods) the Gazetteers of the present day in France, think it necessary to provide against similar disasters, by a different kind of titles, such as the Indispensable, the Necessary, &c. &c. as if the necessity or indispensability of their existence, would avail any thing against the necessity of suppression.

The French, when they have occasion to speak of their, Constitution, designate the one alluded to, by the year of its production, as the Constitution of the 1st year, 2d year, 3d. year. &c. In the course of nine years, this bloody-minded banditti have forged on the Revolutionary Anvil, Eleven New Constitutions, and finally come to a conclusion to act without one. But under whatever form of Constitution, or whether with: or without any at all, they are still the same infernal race of blood-stained ruffians, from whose murderous intentions, there can be no safety but in a bold and manly state of warfare.
