WILLIAMSBURG, June 14.

IN 1714, in the large tract of country which Prince George county at that time comprehended, the levy was laid upon only 1040 tithables; and this present year, we are well informed, they amount to 26,412, which shows the vast increase, in 56 years, of 25,372 tithables. The county of Amelia contains 4903 tithables, Bedford 1772, Brunswick 3793, Charlotte 1655, Dinwiddie 2986, Halifax 1827, Lunenburg 1585, Mecklenburg 2185, Prince Edward 1620, Pittsylvania 1677; all which counties have been taken from Prince George, and the number of tithables in it amounts to 2449.
