Full Text

An item is going the rounds of the press to the effect that the Santa Fe survey, under the supervision of Mr. Secor, has just established the fact that the New Mexico Arizona line is just one and one half miles off. Instead of being west of Luna, it is about one mile east, and Arizona is entitled to about one mile more land than she has hitherto claimed. This is the first intimation the people have had that the Santa Fe had a surveying corps in the field north of Clifton. Perhaps the Santa Fe will make a connection via the Frisco river between its main line west from Albuquerque and its proposed new line from Whitewater to Phoenix.
