The annual joint meeting of the Maryland Psychiatric Society and the Washington Society for Nervous and Mental Diseases was held at Chestnut Lodge Sanatorium here on Friday last, with Dr. Ernest L. Bullard and Dr. Dexter M. Bullard hosts. About fifty members of the two organizations and others attended. Following a luncheon Dr. Wm. A. White, of Washington, read a paper on "The Language of Disease," with special reference to interpretation and understanding of symptoms as expressed by the patient. A discussion, participated in by Dr. Malinowski of London, Dr. H. S. Sullivan of Baltimore and Dr. Nolan Lewis of Washington followed.
