CLYDE HOUSE RAIDED
Proprietress Charged With Keeping an Unlicensed Bar.

The "Clyde House," kept by Alice Hall, colored, 75 Missouri Avenue northwest, was raided last night by Lieutenant Moore, Detective O'Dea, and a party of policemen from No. 6 station. The proprietress was arrested, charged with keeping an unlicensed bar. Mamie Shepherd, also colored, was locked up, charged with aiding and abetting in the sale of liquor without a license.

A warrant had been sworn out some days ago. Half a dozen couples were found in the house, but only the two women named were arrested. Several other persons were summoned to appear in court this morning as witnesses. The women under arrest denied that they violated the law.
