We learn from the New York papers that thirteen bodies have been recovered from the wreck of the steamer Swallow, and that hopes are entertained that but few others were lost: The whole number of passengers who had paid their fare before the accident, was 231: of these 204 were rescued, which with the 13 bodies found, leaves 14 still missing, among whom is Mrs. Gelston, of Schenectady, only 23 years of age, and recently married. Some of the papers are very severe on the pilot of the boat for his supposed carelessness, but the coroner's inquest on the bodies recovered, exculpated him from blame. The legislature of N. Mrs. Conklin, of Bennington, Vt.; Mrs. Elizabeth Coffin, West Troy; Mrs. Louisa Coffin, do; Miss. Walker, of N. Y.; Miss L. Briggs, of Troy; Miss Torrey, of Pennsylvania: Mrs. Parker, of Utica; Two Misses Wood, of Albany; Mr. Wm. Davis do.; Miss Spencer of Troy; Mrs. Ann Lamberson, of Jamaica, L. I.; Mrs. Brewster, Mohawk Valley.
