Hank Dethman was a business caller in town Saturday.

Johnny Johnson was a business visitor in Poplar on Monday.

Pat Byrnes was in town Saturday from the north community.

Alvin Lien returned Wednesday morning after a few days' visit in Minneapolis.

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Holte and Marlis of Phoenix, Arizona, were dinner guests on Friday at the Ole Lien residence.

Edward Smith spent several days across the river helping his brother Howard put up hay.

Miss Edith Smith is visiting an aunt and uncle in Streeter, North Dakota, for a short while.

Mr. and Mrs. Sid Miller drove to Wolf Point on Saturday morning where he received dental attention.

Mr. and Mrs. Lov Jaumotte left Wednesday to attend a family reunion to be held north of Minot, North Dakota. They were joined in Culbertson by his parents Mr. and
Mrs. Emil Jaumotte. Some of the others present were Mr. and Mrs. Jay Jaumotte.

Hans Lien returned about Wednesday after spending a short vacation at Saco and Great Falls.

Mr. and Mrs. Orrie Vraa and family of the Anderson Community were business callers in Wolf Point Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ole Moen drove to Bonetrail, North Dakota, last Sunday to attend the confirmation of her niece.

Mr. and Mrs. John Iverson of Culbertson visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Merland Iverson, here on Wednesday evening.

Bill Murray who went to Minnesota with Don Samuelson, went on to Davenport, Iowa, to visit a brother Jim. He may return later on in the week.

Mrs. Carl Larsen of Dodson, Montana, arrived here the middle part of the week and is helping her sister-in-law, Mrs. Otto Schulz, while she is convalescing from her recent illness.

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lathrop moved to Wolf Point during the week, and he is employed in a garage there. He had been employed at the Hi-Way Motor Service for the past year or more.

Afternoon callers for a coffee party at the home of Mrs. Lloyd L. Johnson last week were her sister Mrs. Melvin Magnuson and son Mickey and Mrs. Betty Baldwin, all of Poplar.

Donald Samuelson returned Tuesday afternoon from his vacation trip to Minnesota. He visited relatives and tried his luck at fishing. Came back with some little fish and lots of tales about the big ones!

Orville Ostergarden of Crookston, Minnesota, stopped in town for a brief visit on Friday enroute from the Hungry Horse Dam to Minnesota. He is the husband of a former Brockton girl, Ione Vraa.

Mrs. Pete Dethman of the north community was admitted to the hospital in Wolf Point on Monday with a bad cold or flu. Susan and Stevie Dethman stayed with the Hank Dethmans during their mother's absence.

The Lutheran Bible School ended Friday afternoon with a program put on by the boys and girls and under direction of Luther Larsen. Afterwards a picnic lunch was served to all the children, their parents, and other guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Orville Qualley and sons of the Anderson Community and his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kozak and sons of Poplar, left this week for a vacation trip through Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks.

Mr. and Mrs. James Byrnes, Sr. and two daughters drove to St. Paul, Minnesota, to attend the graduation ceremonies of their son Jim, Jr. at St. Thomas Military Academy and also their daughter Sarah who was graduated from high school at St. Cloud.

Lucyle and Arlis Vaught, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Vaught, left last week for Spearfish, South Dakota. They are staying at the home of their grandmother, and Arlis plans to attend school there. Mrs. Vaught plans to join her daughters soon this summer.

Cpl. Marvin Elgie and his sister Mrs. Albert McGinnie (nee June Elgie) and Gary left by train early Thursday morning for Kalispell after visiting relatives and friends here and in Culbertson for past five days. After visiting in Kalispell with the McGinnises' and Louis Becker's, Marvin will report back to Fort Lawton by Monday.

Others attending the International Luther League Convention held in Seattle, Washington, on June 20 through 24th are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Larsen and son Luther of the Anderson Community. Mrs. Mabel
Mrs. Gobbs and son of Culbertson might also leave with her parents on the trip. Larsens will also visit another daughter, Mrs. Clara Byrant and family at Tacoma.

Having left Phoenix, Arizona on Monday morning, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Holte and daughter Marlis arrived here on Wednesday evening. Mrs. Holte and Marlis stayed in town for a few days with the Holtes' daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Lien, while Mr. Holte went out to his farm. Larry Lodmell rode with them from Phoenix to Great Falls, and planned to visit his relatives, the Albert Jaumotte family and grandmother, Mrs. A. M. Lodmell, at Choteau.
