ATTACKS ON MICHAELIS CONTINUE IN REICHSTAG
QUESTION FAITH EMBARRASSING QUESTIONS PUT TO MICHAELIS BY PROFESSOR
Failure of Chancellor to Accept Resolutions of Reichstag as a Basis of Policy is the Cause
(By Associated Press)
Copenhagen, Aug. 29.--Severe attacks on German Chancellor Michaelis are continuing in the Reichstag.
Professor Hans Delbrueck in a speech, asked Michaelis an embarrassing question concerning peace developments, inquiring why, if Michaelis really accepts the resolutions of the Reichstag as a basis of his policy, he neglects to answer the inquiry of Lord Asquith regarding Germany's readiness to restore Belgium.
The professor openly questions the Chancellor's good faith in dealing with the future of Germany, and charges that the Chancellor, through the arbitrary course has seen fit to pursue, does not enjoy the confidence of the Reichstag.
