Full Text

Mr. Pearce's speech, on the Judiciary Bill, has been rather roughly handled in the hands of the editor of the Microcosm. This attack upon the manufacturer's representative, has been indignantly received by the editor of the Pawtucket Chronicle who has undertaken to card Mr. Danforth's wool, for his temerity. Being well aware that the domestic editor's machinery is all of the labour saving order, it is a matter of surprise with us that he has been induced to start the "creeping jenny" of his ideas at all; but since he has hoisted the flood gate of his imagination it is hoped that his brother editors will lend a hand to key it in its present elevation, that they may be refreshed by its copious streams.
