They write from Curacoa, of the 27th instant, that, according to the last advices received there from Europe, the French and Spanish sailors had left the Court of London, and it was supposed war had been declared before the date of the letters.

That the French were assembling an army of 60,000 men near Dunkirk; which port and harbour was strongly fortifying.

That the French had 46 sail of the line ready to sail, from Brest and Toulon.

That the Spaniards had likewise 26 ships of the line ready to put to sea; had ordered 20 more to be built; and also had a body of 40,000 troops ready for embarkation.

And that many other of the powers of Europe were arming.
