IN CAUCUS REGISTRATION

Between 200 and 300 persons, of whom about nine-tenths were women, appeared before the Norwich registrars and assistant registrars in the different districts on the two caucus registration days, the last being Friday.

Party preferences are of course indicated by this registration and one or two peculiarities were noted. In Greeneville, which is looked upon as a rock-ribbed democratic section, the 82 names that were registered showed a large republican leaning, while Norwich Town, where 75 names were registered, showed them largely in the democratic column which was naturally unexpected.
