The meeting of those interested in 4-H Club leadership, held in Harlem, Monday, was attended by about twenty men and women of this Valley. County Agent Challey called the meeting for the purpose of increasing the interest in 4-H Club work, hoping to extend the work into wider areas of Blaine county. In addition to Mr. Challey, Miss M. G. Euren, assistant state club leader, Miss Frances Bellamy, home demonstrator, were in attendance and gave talks on the value of the work and the lines of study. The speakers and all others who gathered for the meeting were guests of the Harlem Lions at lunch Monday noon, at which time brief talks were made. The High School glee club sang several numbers which were very pleasing to the listeners.
A similar meeting was called in Chinook for the following day, when club leaders for that end of the county gathered for instruction.
Those attending the meeting in Harlem were Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Violett, Mrs. Jessie Roberts, Mrs. A. H. Hargens, Mrs. Myrtle Matheson, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Steffens, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Johnson, Edwin Losby, Eddy Phares, Paul Stafford, Mrs. A. E. Everett, Bill Petrie, Miss Josephine Berry, Miss Elizabeth Cochran and Harala Steffen.
