The service at Ley Memorial Church Sunday evening was patriotic in nature, honoring those who are serving their country.
Special music was rendered by the choir. Rev. E. S. Doherty gave a fitting message.
The plaque containing 24 names was hung by Terry Dougherty and Eugene L. Roberts, Jr., sons of two members of the church who have returned safely.
As Miss Miriam E. Carey read the names the nearest relative of each lighted a candle. Mrs. E. S. Doherty sang an appropriate solo, after which prayer was offered for the safety of those in the service of their country.
Immediately a list of names for another honor roll plaque was started. Anyone who knows of someone whose name should be on the honor roll of this church is requested to hand the name to Mrs. William T. Dougherty, Jr., Miss Miriam E. Carey, or the pastor not later than the first Sunday in June.
