[By Cable to The Associated Press.]
ST. PETERSBURG, March 28, 1900.
The Russian squadron which recently called at Chemulpho, Korea, has arrived at Port Arthur.
It was announced in a despatch from Yokohama, yesterday, to The Associated Press, that a Russian squadron had arrived at Chemulpho and, it was added, it was believed that this presaged a demand for a concession of land at Masanpho, a small harbor twenty miles South of Chemulpho, which aroused uneasy comments in Japan. It would appear from the despatch from St. Petersburg that the feeling of uneasiness was not warranted by the facts in the case.
