Full Text

The Boundary Question. It appears from the New Brunswick papers, that Mr. Davies, who has gone to that province by appointment of Governor Lincoln, to ascertain the facts in relation to the alleged aggressions on the frontier, has been received at Frederickton with that respectful attention, to which his character and gentlemanly manners entitle him. As to his being received in an official character, no such thing could have been expected. The Governors of States do not appoint, nor those of colonies receive, diplomatic agents. He went as a commissioner to obtain authentic information, and as such we have no doubt every facility will be afforded by the authorities in New-Brunswick; and we are inclined to believe that his report will show, that very trifling occurrences, not in the least affecting the real question in dispute, have been greatly exaggerated.
