PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 26.

Extract of a letter from St. Christopher's, dated the 10th instant, just arrived in the brig -, Captain Smith.

A Gentleman who arrived yesterday from Dominica, we are assured, as a matter of fact, that the day before he left that island some Gentlemen who arrived from Martinico brought advice that a French frigate arrived at St. Pierre's, from France, with dispatches for his Excellency Count D'Ennery, which were of such importance as made it necessary for him to communicate the contents of them to the Governor of Port Royal, though then 11 o'clock at night. This causing some speculation among the inhabitants, they solicited his Excellency to inform them if they had anything to apprehend from the English. They were answered they had not, but that Spain had already declared war against England, though the English had not yet declared. The frigate sailed, in a few hours, for Hispaniola.
