From the Milton, (Pa.) Ledger.

JUSTICE TO JOHN TYLER.

The term has almost expired for which this eminent statesman, has been called to preside over the destinies of his country.

We are extremely gratified that the President, by a wise and prudent administration of the Government, has outlived the calumnies of his accusers, and prostrated those who betrayed and deceived him. This "weak and treacherous Chief Magistrate," as he was frequently styled by the whigs, retires applauded and approved by his countrymen, while his accusers are left to revel in the agonies of their own insatiate ambition and disappointed hopes.

The course of his administration, we say, reflects honor upon the head and heart of John Tyler, and inscribes his name among the first rank of American statesmen—posterity will award to Mr. Tyler the highest praise for the manner and good which has been effected by his administration to the country.
