"VENERATE THE PLOUGH."
PLOUGHING.

TO plough well, and with ease to your horses, make use of a large bar share, but add thereto a wheel to run in the furrow after the share, and in such a manner as to receive the whole weight of the plough. The wheel may be made of a solid piece of seasoned oak or ash, about a foot in diameter, about two inches broad, and as it turns, to extend about an inch and a quarter below the bar. By means of such a wheel, the pressure and friction on the lower part of the bar is removed, and the small degree of friction which remains on the side of the furrow, tends to steady the plough. Whoever at the expense of about one dollar will make the experiment, will find his time and money well spent, and be surprised to see the great effect a simple wheel will have on the whole machine.

FARMERS take Notice!

The breeding of sheep claims your attention. There were killed during the last year, near two millions of Ewes, altho five millions, in addition to the present number, would not form a moderate stock for the United States.

Calculate the saving that the sparing of the Ewes and Lambs for this year may produce to your country, and you will withhold the bloody knife at least for one season. England owes its present strength to their attention to these important little animals; as a memento of which, their judges and rulers are seated on sacks of wool.
