Public opinion, so far as we have an opportunity of learning it, demands that the Legislature shall, immediately on assembling together, pass resolutions instructing our Senators to vote against the repeal of the Fugitive Slave law.
The course of Senator Benton, in relation to this law, makes this a matter of necessity. He believes the law "injudicious," and with this belief, he would certainly wish to see it repealed. The people should speak to him through their representatives, and let him disobey their will, if he dares.—[Springfield, (Mo.) Advertiser.
