Another Bombing
Raid on Germany

Sgt. George Parrish, son of
Mr. and Mrs.
W. P. Parrish, has
gone on still another bombing mission
over Germany and had a thrilling
experience of it, according to an
Associated Press dispatch from Lon-
don under date of last Friday. The
article follows

London, April 14-(AP)-Ameri-
can airmen returning from their
penetration deep into southwest (Ger-
many today declared that flak was
the heaviest some of them ever had
experienced and praised the escort
of fighters which gave them cover
the way to their targets. One big
formation of Fortresses was forced
to pass through a belt of heavy flak
to get around a bad weather front
which developed while the planes
were over enemy territory. Two
southern members of this crew were
T/Sgt. Lt. George Heilg, Norfolk.
Va., and Sgt. George Parrish, of
Henderson, N. C.
