"The Ministry will scarcely be able to send out to America, 10,000 men additional, two thirds of these must be new levies. The two regiments which sailed from Corke about the middle of last month for Quebec, were by hard weather forced into Milford, except those in one transport which is missing. There they stay as it is too late to proceed. It is the general idea, that Canada must fall into the hands of the provincials, which is imputed to the disaffection of the Canadians. All sorts of grain, in Britain and here, are more plentiful than for many years past; insomuch that the West India islands will be supplied from these kingdoms. Five regiments are under orders to be at Corke by the first of December, to proceed in December to Virginia, we are pretty sure."
