Full Text

An union of the Republicans.

Governor Fenner and lieut. gov. Martin are republicans, and truly friendly to the present administration of the government of the United States— tory papers to the contrary notwithstanding. The republicans in this state divided, not because they did not fully approve of the wise measures recommended by President Jefferson, but on some local considerations which are now removed, and they are all verging back to their first love and re-union. They will support two republicans for representatives in the eleventh Congress, and four electors who will vote for James Madison as President, and George Clinton as Vice-President.
