Guilty Plea To
Federal Charges

TOPEKA, Kas. -(SNS)- Rex Ingram, stage and screen actor, pleaded guilty Thursday in a Federal court to a charge of transporting a 15 year old girl from Kansas to New York for immoral purposes.

The 54-year old star of "Green Pastures" was accused in an indictment of transporting the young white girl from her Salina, Kas., home to New York City last September.

The movie actor also pleaded guilty to a charge of sending a lewd letter through the mails to the girl. He will be sentenced during the October term of Federal court in Kansas City, Kas.
