The London Junior Chamber of Commerce made their annual awards at dinner Thursday night.
A large gathering of members and guests heard Robert Lukens make the opening speech after which he awarded a life membership to Supt. J. J. Hartley in recognition of his fine service to the community and the Jaycees.
The Jaycee "Distinguished Service Award" was presented to William Holton. Jake von Kanel made the presentation and commended Holton for his long service as scout master of troop 104.
The speaker for the affair was Professor Joseph A. Link of Cincinnati. Professor Link gave a most interesting talk on his experience in Russia and expressed his fear of the Russians and their attempt at world domination. Professor Link had spent considerable time in Russia both before and during the war.
