REGISTER THIS YEAR
Records of Secretary of State Sam W. Mitchell show that 253,138 Montanans are eligible to vote in the primary election next Tuesday, as compared with 248,443 persons registered for the 1938 primary election. Twenty-eight counties showed decreased registrations while the other 28 showed gains. The total still was nearly 30,000 below the 1936 primary registration.
The registrations by counties with the 1940 figure first and the 1938 total last, are:
Roosevelt—4,224; 4,999.
Daniels—2,060; 2,053.
McCone—1,726; 1,800.
Richland—3,786; 3,789.
Sheridan—3,294; 3,570.
Valley—6,104; 6,697.
