Mrs. John A. Bain, pioneer resident of Imperial Valley, who with her niece, Mrs. F. D. Miller, left the valley recently, is comfortably settled in Oak Park, Ill., where she will make her home in the future to the regret of her many friends in the valley who will miss her greatly.
Mrs. Bain and the late Mr. Bain came to the valley in 1912, purchasing ranch property at that time which Mr. Bain operated until the time of his death last fall.
Both played a prominent part in valley activities being interested in every constructive enterprise. Mr. Bain served on the McCabe school board for a number of years.
In letters to friends written from Oak Park Mrs. Miller expressed her appreciation and that of Mrs. Bain for the many kindnesses they received from valley acquaintances during the last few months in particular.
