MCR Signs Union Shop Agreement

PITTSBURGH An agreement providing the union shop and deduction of dues and insurance premiums has been signed with Monongahela Connecting Railroad, reports Deputy President E. B. Welcome, who assisted C. V. Harrington and the general committee.

Covered are conductors, brakemen, towermen, dispatchers, clerical, station and storehouse employes on the property.

A number of cases were settled for the clerks, reports Welcome, and the second half January payroll will include payment of $1,785.36 to the men involved.
