Centralized Cotton Selling

The Maricopa Co. Bankers' Association has made arrangements for the organized selling of a large portion of the local cotton. Samples of each bale represented in the plan will be taken and exhibited to buyers in one central location. Bids for specific bales will be received from buyers and will be referred to the banks concerned for acceptance or rejection.

Each bank will handle cotton for its own customers. Cotton will be offered for sale only as fast as the market can absorb it.

In this way, organized, collective selling will take the place of disorganized, unguided offering of "distress" cotton.

Every owner of cotton should authorize his bank to include his cotton under this plan. The Bankers' Selling Agency should represent as large a proportion of the crop as possible.

The Agency is not designed to make a profit. A small fee, sufficient to pay necessary expenses, will be charged against the cotton as it is sold.

Ask your bank for particulars.
